Who knew the Austin born, now known to his fans as Mr. I K E, would be one of the hottest artists up and coming in the music industry today. Well, I K E along with Lil Rob, the new Latin Action artist, and the entire Latin Action Records, have been doing their thing for the past years with much success.
Born and raised in Austin, I K E was certain to make it big. He has been writing rhymes since he was 11 years old. He first started his rap career with his long time friend, Josh "Swisha" Costillo and Polo "Relo" Brown, as a rap trio called "O.B.T". "O.B.T." released "Gram Cracker" in 2008 while recording together, Although I K E isn't apart of O.B.T., the three members still remain good friends. I K E continued to believe in himself and his unique style, and there was someone else that believed in him also. His cousin, who was owner of Latin Action Records , decided that it was time for I K E's unique style to be heard. One day Joe Contreras asked to hear a song of I K E's, By the next week I K E was in the studio recording a verse for the cut, "Life", off of Mr. I K E's "Live Rep Die" album
Since then, it has been nothing but up hill for I K E. He dropped "Live Rep Die" a album under iTunes digital distribution on April 20, 2010. His level of creativity for rhyming has continued to rise over the past year.
Now from my homeboy I K E: What up world it's your boy Mr. I K E, just wanted to let you know I'm working on an album. I'm Goin to drop it Sept. 6th 2012. This music is my life, my life is these streets, my hood, this is real. The music I make is real.
